Consists of correspondence and bibliographical notes of David Anton Randall, 1905-1975, relating to his "Bibliographical notes" on the Sherlock Holmes books of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Included in the collection are: an undated letter written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle; a fragment of an undated letter to "My dear Watson" which is the first third of a letter written by Sherlock Holmes before reeling over the cliff; a drawing of Sherlock Holmes by Vincent Starrett, 1943; two drawings illustrating Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Adventures of Etienne Gerard, The brigadier in England.
